Webinar: GLP-1 Therapies: From Discovery to Clinical Expansion, Nutritional Considerations, Side Effects, and Unresolved Questions

Research has shown that GLP-1 therapies can produce clinically meaningful weight loss while also improving cardiometabolic outcomes, fueling their rapid expansion from diabetes treatment into obesity management and other emerging health applications.
Join Kellene A. Isom, PhD, MS, RD, CAGS, and Nima Patel-Shori, PharmD, BCACP, on Thursday, October 8, from 2-3 p.m. ET, for an evidence-based webinar exploring the rapidly evolving landscape of GLP-1 and related incretin-based therapies. Led by experts in nutrition and pharmacy, this session will provide a clinical overview of how these medications work, their current and emerging applications, and the opportunities and challenges they present in obesity and diabetes management. Attendees will examine side effects and nutrition-related impacts, including appetite changes, gastrointestinal symptoms, nutrient intake challenges, and body composition considerations, while gaining practical insights into the opportunities and challenges these therapies present. Leave with evidence-based nutrition strategies and actionable tools that help you support patients using GLP-1 therapies and enhance patient outcomes within comprehensive care.
