A Review on the Status of Clinical Practices Utilized in Stroke Centers to Reduce Door-to-Needle Time and of the Essential Functions of MRI and CT Scan Imaging in Guiding Stroke Diagnosis
Stroke is a medical emergency caused by an interruption of blood flow to the brain and can be either hemorrhagic or ischemic.
This session reviews the differences between stroke types, current treatment options for ischemic stroke, including thrombolytic medications and mechanical thrombectomy, and the critical importance of rapid intervention. Participants will also examine the essential role of CT and MRI in stroke diagnosis, treatment planning, and patient management, with a focus on improving outcomes through timely imaging and care.
