Recorded Webinar: Health Literacy: Practical Interprofessional Strategies for Enhancing Health Equity
This webinar was presented on Wednesday, September 21, 2022, from 2-3 p.m. ET.
Accurately identifying patient health literacy is an important public health task. Simply providing patient education is not enough. To positively enhance individual patient and societal health outcomes, healthcare workers must ensure that patients receive and understand accessible high-quality health information.
Join Brenda Hage, PhD, DNP, APRN-BC, FNP, AGPCNP-BC, and David Hage, MSW, LCSW, ACSW, C-ASWCM, as they discuss strategies to promote and enhance health equity across the health care profession. Learn how providing targeted information to patients in an appropriate and accessible manner can impact their perspective of their own health and implement specific communication strategies that will help your patients understand health and illness, related decision making, and overall health care management.
