Cutting-Edge MRI Applications in Neuroimaging: Transforming Patient Care
This session explores the newest frontiers in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and their transformative impact on neuroimaging and patient care. Attendees will explore into state-of-the-art MRI technologies and processing methodologies, including deep learning acceleration (e.g., AIR Recon DL), advanced pulse sequences, and post-processing tools. We will examine quantitative and synthetic MRI approaches, as well as emerging biomarkers and imaging modalities such as ATP imaging and Chemical Exchange Saturation Transfer (CEST). Key advances to be covered include deep learning acceleration techniques for MR reconstruction and denoising (e.g., AIR Recon DL) to reduce scan time and enhance image quality; advanced pulse sequences and processing methods, including quantitative Susceptibility Mapping (QSM) for tumor characterization and MS assessment; quantitative MRI (qMRI) and synthetic MRI approaches for standardized, multiparametric reporting; Chemical Exchange Saturation Transfer (CEST) & ATP imaging as a functional biomarker to probe cellular energetics in neurological conditions; integration of synthetic MRI and qMRI data into clinical workflows for improved diagnostic accuracy and treatment planning; and emerging applications in stroke, epilepsy, neurodegenerative diseases, MS, and brain tumors.
Learning Objectives
- Explain and compare emerging MRI technologies and their clinical relevance in neuroimaging.
- Interpret advanced imaging biomarkers (including qMRI, QSM, ATP imaging, and CEST) and their role in patient management.
- Investigate innovative approaches that combine advanced MRI insights with comprehensive patient care strategies.
