Everything MRI - From Students to Regulatory Bodies
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) safety remains a critical and evolving challenge in modern imaging practice. Despite advances in technology, gaps in education, training, and regulatory consistency continue to impact safe and effective MRI operations. This session provides a contemporary overview of the MRI safety landscape in 2024, highlighting persistent barriers to improvement and examining why current approaches may fall short.
Participants will explore a systems-based approach to MRI safety, including the role of education across all levels—from students to regulatory bodies—and the need for standardized, globally aligned safety practices. The session will also review emerging innovations, including virtual and augmented reality training, artificial intelligence–driven tools, and advanced MRI management systems designed to enhance safety awareness and operational efficiency.
Through practical insights and forward-looking discussion, attendees will strengthen their understanding of current challenges, evaluate evolving solutions, and recognize the need for more consistent, structured MRI safety frameworks to support safe practice across diverse clinical environments.
